ECO-UNESCO's Introduction to Environmental Education: Trends & Developments


This one-day training introduces environmental education utilising activities developed by ECO-UNESCO to encourage young people to get involved in environmental issues.

By the end of the training participants should:

• Understand what environmental education is

• Know how environmental education compliments teaching as well as engaging the wider public in environmental issues

• Understand how environmental education compliments youth work

• Be able to apply environmental education in theory and in practice

This training is suited for environmental officers, teachers, youth and community leaders, academics and anyone else interested in learning more about environmental education.
