Youth for Sustainable Development Leadership Programme Officer
ECO-UNESCO is developing a new Youth for Sustainable Development Leadership programme 2017-18, and is currently recruiting for a motivated individual for this exciting new opportunity.
The programme will build upon the successful Youth for Sustainable Development; Global Youth Leaders for Change programme (YSD); it will involve adapting and delivering the YSD programme as a pilot in selected communities across Ireland, and rolling out an integrated programme comprising a module for delivery in secondary schools. It will also see the roll out of the after-schools YSD youth programme for young people in locations in selected communities in Ireland.
The programme will build the capacity of young people to develop knowledge on sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals, develop leadership and peer education skills; awareness of local political systems and decision making and encourage them to take action locally.
This is a full time role (35 hours per week) and will require travel, a full clean driving license is essential. Initial contract is for 10 months with the possibility of extension subject to funding.

As Operations and Development Manager you will join and lead the team providing critical services and supports to the National Director. As a Manager you will ensure the efficient and effective management of the organisation and the delivery of services ensuring high standards. As a leader you will provide motivation, support and challenge to the team to ensure the objectives of ECO-UNESCO are met and your team reaches their potential. As Development Manager you will identify and develop opportunities for funding to achieve the organisations strategic goals.
