Protecting the Environment; Empowering young people

The Green Teen Summer Camp is for young people aged between 12 and 16 run by ECO-UNESCO, Ireland’s environmental education and youth organisation. The programme focuses on developing knowledge, skills, attitudes and values in young people related to sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals. The programme runs between 10am -3pm every day for the one-week period in ECO-UNESCO’s headquarters at 9 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2, and is suitable for young people who are interested in exploring and taking action on local to global sustainable development related issues.

ECO UNESCO is an Environmental Youth Organisation that works with children and young people in the areas of Environmental education and personal development. This workshop has been designed to support the personal development of its participants through physical activity, nature learning and engaging in environmental thinking. The action packed week will include day trips to places such as Bull Island, Barnaslingan Woods and Bray’s coastline, focusing on the natural environment and discovering green areas around the city, along with classroom workshops and creative activities on biodiversity. Participants will meet new people, improve their self-esteem and well-being, take in the fresh air and have fun!
