Young Environmentalist Awards 2009

Congratulations to all the winners at ECO-UNESCO’s Young Environmentalist Awards!

The 10th anniversary celebration was an amazing demonstration of the power of young people to make significant changes in their community to help the environment. Many thanks to all the staff, volunteers and special guests that made the day a huge success - especially the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Cllr Eibhlin Byrne for opening the showcase, Barry Andrews, TD, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs for addressing the ceremony and awarding the overall winners and Aidan Power for once again being a terrific host for our ceremony.

Check out the ECO-UNESCO blog for more reflections on the day: ecounesco.wordpress.com.

Take a look at some of the photos from ECO-UNESCO’s Young Environmentalist Awards Showcase and Ceremony. More photos are on the way, so be sure to check back often!
