ECO-UNESCO's Youth for Sustainable Development programme comprises a number of different elements::
- A Peer Education programme for young people aged 15-18
- An ESD Youth Peer Education Resource Guide to assist others interested in carrying out an ESD Youth Peer Education Programme, available nationwide, which will be aimed at Youth Sector, Development Education sector and Environmental Sector.
- Training
- One-day training courses
- Youth Work and Sustainability
- Sustain it! Creating Sustainable Organisations: Practical Solutions for the Youth Sector
- Peer Education and Sustainability
- FETAC-accredited modules
- Delivery of FETAC Sustainable Development modules to young people in Youth Reach centres
- Development of a FETAC-accredited module on Youth Peer Education
- Conferences and seminars - sharing good practice in ESD, promoting cooperation between the youth, development and environmental sectors on ESD.
- An E-bulletin to cover all aspects of education for sustainable development from a global and local perspective. This will include a youth section on ESD to which young people themselves will contribute. The bulletin will aim to highlight global actions for the UN Decade of ESD. It will assist in sharing of good practice on ESD youth projects in the developing world.
